A Little Life Update

To start with, 2019 has brought me so many hard battles that I have had to face but it has also taught me a lot about life. It has taught me that family is everything in time of need, healing is important and making sure your mental health is okay. I have had so many health issues that have come up in the past couple of months that I have never had to face before. Although I have had multiple health scares happen to me this year, I have also had some amazing opportunities come up.

Back in December, I had to start looking for an internship for this summer for my major. I had to find an internship for the summer because my college major requires us to have an internship before we graduate. My dream is to one day open my own styling firm and style on movie or television productions. With all that being said, I started looking at celebrity stylist located in LA and Nashville since I had family in both locations and those are both great places to make connections. I ended up going with a stylist located here in Hollywood, CA and so far, I have loved every minute of it. I am living my dream out here and it is something that I will always remember. My days consists of fitting clients, styling on music productions and editorials as well as working on other sets. I have been working with my stylist since May and so far, I have met famous people from YouTube to actors & actresses and singers. I will include some photos down below that I have helped assist so far. Since I am originally from California, I still have some family that live here so I have been staying with my grandpa. I have cherished every moment of it because I only get to see him a couple of times out of the year since we live across the country. I have also enjoyed spending time with other family members who I only get to see a couple times as well that have made this trip so special. I have experienced some crazy things since I have been out here that you don’t normally get back in North Carolina such as earthquakes. We had two earthquakes in one week and it was pretty scary because the last one we had was so big that the state hasn’t had one that big in 12 years!

Another thing that people were asking me was why I was traveling so much in May. Since I needed my car out here for the summer, Tanner and I had to drive it out from North Carolina to LA. We decided to make a fun road trip out of it! It was one of our favorite memories that we made together. However, we definitely had a bump in the road when I was in the hospital for 36 hours because I went into Diabetic Ketoacidosis. It was probably one of the scariest moments in my life but I am so thankful it is over and I am doing a lot better.

Now, what does the rest of summer look like?? I am here in California till August and then I go back home to be with my family for a little bit before I have to go back to school to finish up my senior year of college (thank the good Lord above that college is almost over)!! Although I am sad to leave this sunshine state, I am excited to go home to see Tanner and spend time at home with my family. Since I have been out here in California, I have had so much fun with taking blog photos and pushing my creativity outside my box. I am so grateful for all of the opportunities that blogging has brought me. It has brought me some pretty amazing friends, taught me how to stand outside my comfort zone, not letting others push me down and boosted my self-confidence. However, I am sad to say that I will not be as active as I have been in the past on this page this coming up year. I do love what I do and that doesn’t mean I want to stop but taking a breather every once in a while, is important for your health. I plan on going into more details about this very soon. I just have found myself not being present in my life and I want to make time for that again.

Thank you to everyone who has been on this amazing journey this summer with me. Your love and support keeps me going! Until my next post, have a great rest of your summer and don’t forget to spread some lovin’ wherever you are!!

Summer is full of fun activities, but sometimes accidents happen. Knocked a tooth out playing baseball with your kids? Chipped a tooth loading up the car for a trip to the beach? Visit Mile High Smiles when you need an emergency dentist, or just a regular cleaning.

Here are some of the photos that I have helped assist for styling this summer so far! (keep in mind that these are only a few of them because it takes time for us to receive them after we have styled them. This is either because the magazine cover has not come out yet or the music video has not been released and we can't show our work until it is published.)
